Though this may not have been last night’s worst decision.
“Also, I should see if he has boundary issues and a complete lack of understanding of how lesbianism works.”

Ashley wasn’t on screen more than ten seconds before she had a bottle of wine in her hand. That’s our girl.

Aria is so much better as a character when Ezra isn’t involved.
AGREED TO THE NTH DEGREE!
The Aria plotline has been FANTASTIC these last two episodes. Honestly, the hole Meredith “taking care of” Aria plot was the best part of last night’s episode.

Sometimes I forget that straight people watch Pretty Little Liars.
Specifically heterosexual teenage girls.
I get kind of ensconced in the commentary I read online (recaps on Autostraddle, Heather Hogan’s brilliance on AfterEllen and Jacob Clifton’s equally awesome recaps on Television Without Pity) and I forget that this show has an audience outside of pop culture/TV nerds and lesbians.
And then something like this comes along and reminds me that Pretty Little Liars is a show aimed squarely at a teenage girl audience. And my brain can’t really comprehend it for a while, because I know absolutely nobody in real life who watches this show. All the feedback and commentary I read is online and in the circles I follow so I forget that there’s this whole other audience reading the programme completely differently to me. And on the one hand it’s kind of mind blowing. I realise there’s a whole load of people out there experiencing everything differently to how I experience it. It’s kind of humbling in a way.And then I read the comments on something like this and it’s no longer humbling. It’s just kind of annoying. And really scary.
